1. INTRODUCTION

Welcome to Okeysel Connect.

Okeysel Connect is an online platform that helps customers discover businesses, products, services, professionals, and opportunities and connect directly with relevant vendors and service providers.

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains the responsibilities and expectations relating to the delivery of products and the fulfilment of services advertised through Okeysel Connect.

Because customers generally transact directly with independent vendors, delivery arrangements may differ from one vendor to another.

Customers should read this policy alongside our Terms & Conditions and Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.

Nothing in this policy removes any consumer right or legal obligation that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Nigerian law.

2. OKEYSEL CONNECT’S ROLE

Okeysel Connect provides a platform for discovering businesses and connecting customers with vendors.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise for a particular service:

  • Okeysel Connect does not ordinarily sell or supply products listed by independent vendors.
  • Okeysel Connect does not ordinarily store, package, transport, or deliver vendors’ products.
  • Okeysel Connect does not ordinarily receive or hold payments for vendors’ independent sales.
  • Vendors are responsible for arranging delivery and fulfilling orders they accept.
  • Customers and vendors are responsible for agreeing on the relevant transaction terms.

Okeysel Connect may review complaints about listings or vendor conduct and take appropriate action within its platform role.

However, Okeysel Connect does not automatically become responsible for delivering a product merely because the customer discovered the vendor through our website or received a recommendation from us.

These provisions do not exclude any responsibility imposed on Okeysel Connect by applicable law.

3. VENDOR DELIVERY RESPONSIBILITIES

Vendors who accept orders through connections made on Okeysel Connect are responsible for communicating and fulfilling their delivery commitments.

Depending on the transaction, vendors should clearly explain:

  • Whether delivery is available.
  • The locations they serve.
  • The expected delivery period.
  • The delivery charge, where applicable.
  • Whether customers must collect products themselves.
  • Available delivery methods.
  • Any relevant conditions affecting delivery.
  • What the customer should do if delivery is delayed or an order arrives incorrectly.

Vendors should provide accurate information before accepting an order and promptly communicate material changes.

A vendor must not knowingly advertise delivery services, delivery locations, or delivery times that they cannot reasonably support.

Where a vendor accepts an order, the vendor must fulfil the agreement in accordance with its terms and applicable law.

4. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

Customers should confirm delivery arrangements with the vendor before completing a purchase.

Before making payment, customers are encouraged to establish:

  1. The product being purchased.
  2. The total price, including delivery charges.
  3. The delivery address or collection location.
  4. The expected delivery date or period.
  5. Whether delivery is included in the purchase price.
  6. Any conditions relating to failed delivery or collection.
  7. The procedure for reporting damaged, missing, incorrect, or incomplete orders.

Customers should provide accurate delivery information and remain reasonably available to receive an order where required.

If a customer changes the delivery address, becomes unavailable, or requests a change after an order has been accepted, the customer should contact the vendor promptly.

Any additional charge or change to the original arrangement should be communicated and agreed as appropriate.

These recommendations do not remove any rights customers may have under applicable law.

5. DELIVERY CHARGES AND PAYMENT

Delivery charges are ordinarily determined by the vendor or the delivery provider involved in the transaction.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, customers should confirm the delivery charge before completing a purchase.

The vendor should explain whether the delivery charge:

  • Is included in the advertised price.
  • Is payable separately.
  • Depends on the delivery location.
  • Changes according to the size, weight, or nature of the product.
  • Is payable before dispatch or at another agreed stage.

Customers should not assume that delivery is free unless the vendor has clearly stated that it is.

Payments for independent vendor purchases are ordinarily made directly to the vendor through arrangements agreed between the parties.

Okeysel Connect’s Paystack payment facility is used for its own promotional packages, not ordinarily to collect payments for independent vendors’ product sales.

6. DELIVERY TIMELINES

Delivery timelines depend on the vendor, product availability, delivery location, and the delivery method selected.

Vendors should provide realistic estimates and communicate material delays promptly.

Customers should understand the difference between an estimated delivery period and a specifically agreed delivery deadline.

Where a definite delivery date or period has been agreed, the vendor should make reasonable efforts to fulfil the order accordingly.

If a delivery delay occurs, the customer should contact the vendor to obtain an update and discuss an appropriate resolution.

Nothing in this policy permits a vendor to disregard an agreed delivery obligation or an applicable legal requirement.

7. FAILED, DELAYED, OR INCOMPLETE DELIVERIES

If an order does not arrive within the agreed period, customers should contact the vendor promptly.

The vendor should investigate the matter and provide relevant information about the order’s status.

Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate resolution may involve:

  • Completing the delivery.
  • Agreeing on a revised delivery date.
  • Correcting an incomplete order.
  • Replacing an item where appropriate.
  • Providing a refund or another remedy where required by the agreement or applicable law.

If delivery fails because the customer supplied an incorrect address or was unavailable to receive the order, the parties should review the agreed delivery conditions and applicable law before deciding who bears any additional cost.

A vendor should not impose an undisclosed charge without an appropriate basis.

Where a dispute remains unresolved, the customer may contact Okeysel Connect through the website’s available contact channels to report the matter.

8. DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, MISSING, OR INCORRECT PRODUCTS

Customers should inspect delivered products as soon as reasonably practicable.

If a product arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or materially different from the agreed description, the customer should contact the vendor promptly and provide relevant evidence where available.

Useful evidence may include:

  • The order details.
  • Photographs of the item or packaging.
  • Payment records.
  • Messages exchanged with the vendor.
  • Delivery records or other relevant information.

The vendor should assess the complaint and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with the transaction terms and applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include repair, replacement, completion of the order, a refund, or another lawful remedy.

A vendor cannot remove mandatory consumer rights simply by stating that all sales are final or that no returns are accepted.

Customers should contact the vendor before returning a product and obtain appropriate return instructions.

Okeysel Connect may review complaints involving vendors on the platform, but we do not ordinarily receive or store the products and therefore cannot automatically inspect, replace, or refund them directly.

9. SERVICE PROVIDERS AND PROFESSIONAL ENGAGEMENTS

Okeysel Connect also helps users discover service providers and professionals.

For services, delivery generally means performing the agreed service rather than transporting a physical product.

Customers and service providers should clarify:

  • The scope of the service.
  • The agreed price.
  • The expected commencement and completion dates.
  • Any appointment or rescheduling conditions.
  • Any materials, equipment, or access the customer must provide.
  • What happens if the service provider cannot attend or complete the work.

Service providers should communicate material delays, changes, or inability to perform an agreed service promptly.

Customers should communicate relevant changes to appointments or service requirements as early as reasonably possible.

Where a service is not provided as agreed, the parties should seek an appropriate resolution under their agreement and applicable law.

10. DELIVERY BY THIRD-PARTY COURIERS

A vendor may use an independent courier, dispatch rider, logistics company, or other delivery provider.

Where this occurs, the vendor should explain the relevant arrangements to the customer.

The responsibilities of the vendor and delivery provider will depend on their respective agreements and applicable law.

Customers should obtain relevant tracking details or delivery contact information where available.

Okeysel Connect does not automatically operate or supervise an independent courier simply because a vendor uses that service.

This does not exclude any legal responsibility that may apply to Okeysel Connect or another party in the circumstances.

11. DELIVERY AND OFFICIAL RECOMMENDATIONS

Okeysel Connect may recommend a business to a customer who requests assistance identifying a suitable vendor.

A vendor seeking an official recommendation may be asked to provide a Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration number for checks against available official business-registration records.

A CAC registration check is not a guarantee of product quality, delivery performance, financial reliability, or successful fulfilment.

An official recommendation does not mean that Okeysel Connect has agreed to deliver products on the vendor’s behalf or accept responsibility for the vendor’s orders.

Customers should confirm delivery arrangements directly with the recommended vendor before making payment.

If a recommended vendor fails to fulfil an agreement, the customer may contact the vendor and report the issue to Okeysel Connect.

Complaints will be considered within our platform role, without limiting any legal rights or remedies available to the customer.

12. COMPLAINTS ABOUT SHIPPING OR DELIVERY

If you experience a delivery problem involving a vendor discovered through Okeysel Connect, we recommend the following procedure:

Step 1: Contact the vendor.
Explain the problem and request an update or appropriate remedy.

Step 2: Keep supporting records.
Retain relevant receipts, order details, photographs, and communications.

Step 3: Contact Okeysel Connect if the matter remains unresolved.
Use the contact channels provided on our official website and explain the issue.

Where possible, include:

  • The vendor’s name.
  • The product or service concerned.
  • The date of the transaction.
  • The agreed delivery date.
  • The nature of the problem.
  • Relevant supporting evidence.

Okeysel Connect may review the information and take appropriate action under its platform policies.

Submitting a complaint does not guarantee that Okeysel Connect can directly recover money paid to a vendor or compel a particular outcome outside its legal authority.

Where appropriate, customers may also seek assistance from a competent consumer-protection authority.

13. RETURNS, REFUNDS, AND CANCELLATIONS

Shipping and delivery issues may also involve returns, refunds, replacements, or cancellations.

Customers should consult our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy for further information.

For transactions with independent vendors, the vendor ordinarily handles the return or refund request because the vendor receives the payment and supplies the product or service.

For promotional packages purchased directly from Okeysel Connect, the applicable refund and cancellation arrangements are governed by our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.

All such arrangements remain subject to applicable legal requirements.

14. LIMITATIONS AND LEGAL RIGHTS

Delivery arrangements can vary depending on the nature of a product, the vendor, and the location.

Okeysel Connect does not guarantee the delivery performance of every independent vendor or third-party courier.

However, nothing in this policy:

  • Excludes a legal responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
  • Removes consumer rights provided by applicable law.
  • Authorizes vendors to make misleading delivery claims.
  • Prevents customers from pursuing lawful remedies.
  • Prevents complaints from being submitted to a competent authority.

The parties involved in a transaction remain responsible for complying with the obligations that apply to them.

15. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Okeysel Connect may update this policy to reflect changes in its services, business operations, or legal obligations.

The latest version will be published on the website with its effective date.

Where required by law or an existing agreement, appropriate notice will be provided.
